    We are seeking a dedicated Area Manager of Sales who will be responsible for performing a leadership role to monitor financials, staffing, regulatory compliance, and policy and procedure implementation. In this position you will be responsible for managing operations, clinical and sales for multiple branch locations within your territory.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages sales team to market core service and products
    • Provides leadership and accountability within Area
    • Accountable for revenue growth and area profitability management
    • Coaches and trains sales team members on effective sales strategy with training sessions and field travel
    • Keeps updated on industry and market place trends
    • Monitors the performance and productivity of the area sales team
    • Ensures the entire sales team is trained and knowledgeable with all Medicare and other payer requirements
    • Ensures Area Manager audits for operations, and sales are completed for each location at least twice per year
    • Ensures that any deficiencies noted on the audit are resolved in a timely manner
    • Works closely with Region Manager to implement policies, protocols, programs, company initiatives, and tools to improve performance and achieve company goals
    • Works with management to implement growth plan and manages the LCM and Sales Rep
    • Supports training of all area personnel
    • The AM may delegate actual training to others, but the AM is responsible for assuring timely and complete orientation and ongoing training within their assigned area
    • Communicates clear expectations to all area personnel regarding their job responsibilities and priorities as set forth in Rotech's policies and procedures and communicates updates to policy in a timely manner
    • Ensures project deadlines and performance standards are met
    • Performs other duties as required or assigned

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • May supervise the following positions - Customer Service Representative, warehouse personnel, Patient Service Technician (PST), PST-CDL, Respiratory Clinician, Clinical Specialist, Sales Representative
    • Other location specific operations personnel

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of three years directly-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
    • Knowledge of durable medical equipment or home medical equipment
    • Minimum of one year prior supervisory experience
    • Previous clinical experience preferred
    • Previous sales experience preferred
    • Must live within 75 miles of the territory
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean record in the state in which you reside
    • Employment is contingent upon a drug screening test and background investigation

    • Ability to organize, plan, and delegate properly in accordance with size and services of the location
    • Ability to write legibly in English
    • Builds relationships with patients, caregivers, and referral sources
    • Communicate company policies and announcements to location employees
    • Effective oral and written communication with location staff, supervisors, patients, and referral sources
    • Helpful, knowledgeable, and polite
    • Keep supervisors up-to-date on important location issues
    • Knowledgeable in all major insurance carrier eligibility and reimbursement guidelines
    • Maintains a positive, constructive, and polite, attitude
    • Strong leadership abilities
    • Strong organization, time and territory management skills
    • Understanding of accounting and business management

    Physical Demands

    • Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking or listening
    • Requires close vision to small print on computer and or paperwork
    • At times:
    • Requires lifting and transporting of patient equipment
    • Travel extensively via airplane and/or vehicle
    • Utilize computer for extensive hours
    • Lift and carry up to 50lbs during travel

    Machines, Equipment and Technical Abilities

    • Understanding use of all applicable home medical equipment and supplies
    • Using common office equipment (e.g., phone, copier, fax, computer, etc.)
    • Internet, including knowledge of email transmission and communication
    • Internet navigation and research
    • Microsoft applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, etc.

    Work Environment

    • Office, warehouse, field
    • May be required to use a personal vehicle for business activities with reimbursement according to Rotech’s policy

    Departmental Interaction

    • Position has a direct reporting line to the Region Manager and Division Vice President
    • Regular interaction with billing center employees, Location Managers and sales team
    • Contact with individual customers, caregivers, vendors, referral sources and sales team
    • Maintains close communication with all location employees to ensure consistent and timely communication on patient matters
    • Participates in morning meetings with location personnel on a regular basis
